Soldered vintage purple glass button with lead free solder and finished the solder with an antiqued patina. I have used the copper foil stained glass technique to create this necklace. This vintage button measures 1.25" and hangs from a delicate 18" antiqued brass chain with lobster clasp. This purple button has a ripple type design, meaning it is dipped in the middle (see photos) creating a unique effect. This purple lavender glass button is one of a kind, and if you didn't know any better, you would not know it was a vintage glass button! The soldering process does not damage the button in any way. Unique, simple, interesting!

My jewelry is a showcase for vintage lace, quilts, paper, buttons, marbles and found objects. My way of reusing these forgotten treasures for a new generation to enjoy.
